About Chris
Chris was so much more than the circumstances of his death. He was a son, a brother, a friend, and someone who loved deeply. He had a kind heart, a contagious smile, and a personality that could make people laugh even during difficult times. Those who knew Chris remember his compassion, his sense of humor, and the genuine way he cared for others. Like so many individuals, Chris also struggled with the disease of addiction. His journey was filled with challenges, but it was also filled with hope, resilience, and a desire for a better future. Addiction may have taken his life in September 2024, but it does not define the person he was or the legacy he left behind.
After losing Chris, our family knew we wanted to transform our grief into something that could help others. That’s why we created Rise with Chris — to honor his memory by raising awareness, reducing the stigma surrounding addiction, and supporting recovery for individuals and families in our community.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that every person deserves hope, compassion, and the opportunity to recover. Through education, community events, and our goal of bringing Celebrate Recovery to St. Louis County, we hope Chris’s story will inspire others to seek help, offer support, and never give up on those they love.
Chris’s life continues to make a difference. Every person who finds encouragement, every family who discovers they are not alone, and every life changed through recovery is a testament to the legacy he leaves behind.
We remember Chris not only for the battles he faced, but for the love he shared and the hope his story continues to bring to others.
